The British Football Association, The FA, has decided to ban so-called “transgender women” from playing football alongside biologically born women in the country.

This decision from The FA comes after a ruling earlier this year by the UK’s Supreme Court, on April 16th, that issued a historic and definitive ruling, stating that the terms “woman” and “gender” in the Equality Act refer solely to a biological woman and biological sex. Trans women, meaning biologically male individuals, are therefore not covered by the law.

The FA writes on their website that the Supreme Court’s ruling, “means that we will be changing our policy. Transgender women will no longer be able to play in women’s football in England, and this policy will be implemented from 1 June 2025.”

The FA writes also “that this change will be challenging” and that the FA will be “reaching out to the registered transgender women currently playing to inform them of the changes and to discuss how they can remain involved in the game.”

The liberal country, which, like the rest of the West, has previously not only allowed but actually promoted LGBT rights, gender surgeries, and Pride parades, has now suddenly started to shift its stance on several core issues, particularly regarding mass immigration.

This change appears to have occurred in conjunction with the United States, the driving force behind the entire West, getting a new administration with Donald Trump as president, who is working fervently to “Make America Great Again” and return to traditional values, prioritizing the nuclear family and implementing a ban on transgender men competing alongside biologically born women, among other things.

Whether the UK Supreme Court has been influenced by the new political shift in the US and has thus followed suit in this development is unclear, but the alignment and timing seem strikingly consistent.
