Sweden’s Minister for Gender Equality, Nina Larsson from the Liberal party, wants to criminalize “women hate” as terrorism.
In an interview with Sweden’s state-owned media SVT, Liberal Minister Nina Larsson claimed that “gender equality is under attack” and argued that “violent misogyny” should be designated an “extremist environment” – a move that would allow such acts and ideologies to be prosecuted under terrorism laws.
The minister mentions that violent crimes against women have been committed in, among other places, the USA and Canada with misogyny as a motive.
According to Larsson, her proposal is not about domestic violence, but about unknown men who harbor hatred towards women.
Larsson, who is part of a government consisting of a mix of liberals, conservatives, and far-right members, also supports proposals to give men up to four years in prison for, for example, arguments between a man and a woman in a relationship – something the Swedish government wants to classify as “psychological abuse.”
In recent years, the so-called growing “Incel” movement has been identified as one such movement that is said to “hate women,” and feminism in particular – which they claim is the root cause of men suffering increasingly worldwide as they are denied sexual and romantic relationships with women.
Many well-known figures – both within the “Incel” movement and other groups, such as the Tate brothers – have in recent years often been accused of being leading forces behind anti-feminism and the broader anti-women movement, which has become increasingly influential in certain male-dominated circles.
