Men can get 4 years prison in Sweden for “psychological abuse” during domestic arguments

The conservative Swedish government, with support from the far-right party Sweden Democrats, is considering a new feminist legislative proposal that could imprison men for “psychological abuse”.
An ordinary argument between a man and a woman in a close relationship could result in 4 years in prison for the man under the new legislative proposal, given the vague and arbitrary definitions of “psychological abuse,” such as “repeated verbal insults, systematic controlling behavior, isolation from the outside world, manipulation and threats, and creating fear or undermining the victim’s self-esteem.”
This legislative proposal is presented by Gunnar Strömmer, Minister of Justice for the Moderate Party; Paulina Brandberg, Minister for Gender Equality for the Liberals; Camilla Brodin from the Christian Democrats; and Jörgen Grubb from the Sweden Democrats, in an article published in Aftonbladet.
