Russian military strategist on Germany’s new military buildup: They all had relatives crushed by the Red Army — They can’t forgive and forget

A Russian-American military strategist by the name of Andrei Martyanov, claims that today’s Germany and its new military buildup aimed at Russia is driven by the fact that many Germans have relatives who, in one way or another, were crushed by the Soviet Union’s Red Army during World War II when Nazi Germany was defeated.
Martyanov was a guest at the very popular YouTube channel “Deep Dive” with Daniel Davis as the host, and said that “Germany is a defeated country” after World War II, and “that they never forgave Russians”, and added, “they” [the Germans] never forgave and never recovered, from the devastation that the Red Army brought to them”, as a response to why Germany now suddenly has started to act aggressively towards Russia in the ongoing war in Ukraine, simply because they can’t forget the past and basically are looking for revenge against Russia.
Martyanov added that, “it’s still there, it’s very vastly present, and you cannot change this”, about the Germans’ desire for revenge.
In the interview, Martyanov specifically mentions well-known German leaders who have been pointed out by many as russophobes and warmongers — namely Annalena Baerbock, Olaf Scholz, and Friedrich Merz, and he claims that,“they all have normal family relations to somebody who was either killed or taken prisoner on the eastern front”, by the Soviet forces.
In the proxy war in Ukraine between the Kremlin and the Western power elite, many of the top warmongering power figures have German ancestry. Besides the few mentioned above, the head of the EU Commission, Ursula von der Leyen, and the former head of the powerful globalist organization, the World Economic Forum (WEF), the controversial figure Klaus Schwab, are also known for their hardline positions against Russia.
Andrei Martyanov is, besides a military analyst, also an “expert in military and naval strategy”, and a former Soviet naval officer. After serving in the Soviet Coast Guard, he emigrated to the United States in the 1990s. Martyanov has authored several books on geopolitics and military affairs, frequently arguing that the US underestimates Russia and is strategically misguided.
